Week 9: Snapchat

Image
Snapchat Glow Up Let's take a trip down memory lane and chat about the rollercoaster ride that is Snapchat's evolution. It's crazy to think that this app, once known as "Peek A Boo," has transformed into the iconic platform we all know and love today. Fast forward a bit, and we arrive at the pivotal moment when Snapchat officially launched in September 2011. With its new name, the app quickly gained traction among the younger crowd, offering a fresh take on social media. Suddenly, sending self-destructing snaps became the coolest way to communicate with friends. But let's not forget about Snapchat's humble beginnings. In those early days, the app was a bit rough around the edges. The interface was clunky, and features like Stories and Filters were still a twinkle in the developers' eyes. Yet, despite its imperfections, Snapchat had that special something that kept users coming back for more. As the years went by, Snapchat continued to evolve and inn

Week 9: Take Me Back to Florida

Image
Take Me Back to Florida Now, I've been occupied by a hefty slice of my daydreams lately – heading back to Florida to play baseball. Yep, you heard that right. While the rest of the world might be thinking about cozying up by the fire, I've got Florida on my mind, and let me tell you why. Picture this: the crack of the bat, the scent of freshly cut grass, and the warmth of the sun on your skin – ah, there's nothing quite like baseball season in Florida. Now, I might be a tad biased, but hear me out. Growing up, some of my absolute best memories were made on those sunny Florida fields. From travel ball games to high school trips, Florida was where I honed my skills, forged lifelong friendships, and fell head over heels in love with America's favorite pastime. There's just something magical about the Sunshine State that makes it the perfect backdrop for baseball. Maybe it's the endless blue skies or the palm trees swaying in the breeze, but every time I step onto

X/Twitter: More Than Just Tweets

Image
More Than Just Tweets      Today, I want to chat about something that's become a bit of a digital lifeline for many of us: Twitter. Now, I know what you might be thinking – it's just a platform for short messages and memes, right? Well, hold onto your keyboards, because there's a whole lot more to it than meets the eye!      Twitter isn't just about consuming content – it's about joining the conversation. Got a burning opinion on the latest Netflix series? Tweet it out! Want to share your stunning sunrise photo with the world? Go ahead, make someone's morning! The beauty of Twitter is that everyone has a voice and you never know whose day you might brighten with your 280 characters of wisdom.   And let's not forget the power of connections. Whether you're a freelancer looking for gigs, a student seeking advice, or just someone who wants to make friends with those who share your love of random memes, Twitter is the place to be. I've lost count of the

Week 7: Kentucky Recap

Image
Recap of First Collegiate Games This weekend was very unexpected to say the least. I played so much more than what I thought. My intentions were for me to be starting in right field and batting seventh... I batted first and started in right field. "No pressure, Freshie" was the first thing I head when I walked into the on-deck box. My hands were clammy, my stomach was in a knot, and my heart rate was up when I first started walking up to the plate. In that exact moment, I forgot how to play baseball and completely blacked out. Clearly, then nerves got to me. The only thing going through my mind was everything that could possibly go wrong. As I stepped into the box, everything went silent. It was just me and my thoughts. The pitcher wasn't anything special and was diffidently not the best guy I've faced. I could still feel my knees shaking and it was super hard for me to clear my head. It felt like an entire year had passed before he had even thrown me the ball. &quo

With over 330 million monthly active users, X offers a vast audience base to tap into.      One of the key advantages of advertising on X is its targeting capabilities. You can create highly targeted campaigns based on various factors such as demographics, interests, behaviors, keywords, and even specific events or occasions. This allows you to reach the right people with your message at the right time, increasing the chances of engagement and conversion.      X offers a variety of ad formats to choose from, including Promoted Tweets, Promoted Accounts, Promoted Trends, and Video Ads. Week 6: FINALLY!

Image
The Season Is Here!      Packed my suitcase and am ready for Kentucky. The wait is finally over and it's time to play some real baseball games. Fall ball and preseason felt like a full year of scrimmaging the team. But now it's time for the real stuff to start and I couldn't be more excited.     Our first three games of the year are in Lexington, Kentucky against Asbury University, so it should be a pretty stress-free weekend to say the least. With me being from Kentucky, this is going to be one of the best weekends of my life getting to see all of my family and friends that are coming to the game to watch me play in my first collegiate baseball game. What's even better is I earned myself a starting spot in the outfield which is going to make that first game a complete thrill.  But of course, my main focus is on the game. I've been visualizing success, envisioning myself making big plays and helping my team come out on top. I know there will be nerves, but I'm
